This is an interim update while we are travelling down under. At the moment we are in Hong Kong on Saturday morning, eight hours ahead of the UK, after a twelve-hour flight from Manchester. We have a seven-hour lay over before our flight to Perth. Time is a little confusing, I think I have just had my second breakfast, and I am sure that I did not have dinner on Friday night!!! Still we have both had a good shower and now feel refreshed.
The flight was excellent, probably our best long-haul experience in the last few years. The films were bang up to date. I watched If Beale Street could Talk, which was very moving by a director at the top of his game. The portrayal of two young lovers and their family’s interaction was brilliant. Marion watched the Oscar winner Green Book, which she found very entertaining. So on the next flight we might just swap round.
So we will leave you with a picture of Marion having her favourite iced coffee, the first of many.
Hope you arrive Perth relatively free of jet lag?
