Goodbyes

The last evening is always time for reflections and goodbyes. We have had a relaxed day only punctured by me forgetting to clear one of the drawers in our room after the packing was complete. Still it all fitted in the end, although we still have to find room for a bottle of Chilean wine.

There was a party outside by the pool before dinner where I ate my last caviar and drank my last Bellini’s for probably a long while. The music was from the sixties and seventies, which well suited the demographic of the audience. Then there was an Indian buffet, which was to the usual great quality, followed a last cup of coffee in the Seabourn Square and a chance to take a selfie with a penguin! That will be published tomorrow when I have a Wi-Fi connection. We said goodbye to our friends from Lake Tahoe, and then discovered that the jewellery seller on the ship comes from Beeston. Indeed on the quiet there is sizable Yorkshire mafia on-board.

So it is farewell Quest and hello Santiago.
