Lisbon to Touril

So it was time to leave Lisbon after a great stay in an interesting city. The hotel As Janelas was great. Our room was very comfortable, the staff were obliging and best of all it had a terrace and a lounge overlooking the River Tagus.
This is where we finished the evening for a game of Scrabble and blogging.

Our drive out of Lisbon had a last bonus; we crossed over the famous Tagus Bridge on a clear day so that the views were immense. The drive south was uneventful and eventually we reached the coast at the small fishing village of Porto Covo.
Lunch was in a great café, the waiter warned us when we ordered that it was tapas sized portions, well they were enormous, and I had enough choco chico, fried cuttlefish to the uninitiated, to feed a small family.

Then on to our hotel, Marion was tired so while she rested I took the opportunity to take a walk. About twenty minutes I discovered this beautiful cove as the sunset. If the rest of the coast is like this tomorrow then we are in for a treat.
