We are sipping champagne after a lovely evening
watching Marion sing in the local Community Choir with orchestral
accompaniment. It is great to see the positive impact that making music has on
a group of people. The choir and orchestra were all smiles, and the audience
was enthralled. Although some of music was not to my taste, I have an in-built
prejudice against Gilbert and Sullivan it was all very entertaining.
Out Health Service prescribes exercise at subsidised
rates to help people’s health. Here the relationship is obvious, exercise to
improve people physically. I think that they should equally prescribe making
music, as it seems to have a very positive impact on people.
It is also impressive to see a large group of
amateurs get and give so much enjoyment.
This rounded off a good day, as I went with my
daughter to the football for the first time for a month. It was a resounding
victory for our team against one of the top sides in the division. The
atmosphere and the entertainment were great.
In between we had one of the recipes that Marion
learnt on her cooking course. It was an excellent smoked fish pie, yummy. At
last some benefits from the cooking course.
So think of us while we sip champagne after a great and
lovely day.
